Okapi Knives - which is a registered trade mark - had been manufactured in Solingen, Germany from 1902 to 1987.

In 1987 they knives began to be manufactured in South Africa, (to the same specifications and standards of quality under German Management).

Okapi's have high-carbon blades which are magnetized, polished, and sharpened.

The handles are beautifully decorated with silver steel inlay.

The blade of the Okapi knife is deeply stamped with the signature Okapi "moose." The back spring design is unique to this knife as well using a unique "piggyback" design.
