The aim of Olamic cutlery is to maintain the Russian tradition of knife-making while offering a highly functional knife.
Olamic Cutlery utilizes exotic materials such as stacked Karelian Birch bark or Wenge as well as traditional handle materials such as Cocobolo, Micarta and G10.
Olamic is one of the few brands to offer a hunting knife with a military-grade carbon fiber handle. Each knife is meticulously finished with great attention to detail, offering a high-end instrument that will find itself at home both on a hunting trip as well as in a collector's showcase.
Olamic Cutlery aims to provide the American consumer with an authentic hand-made custom hunting knife. Their facility is located in central Russia, around the historic epicenter of Russia's metalworking industry and houses 6 workers who, combined, have nearly 100 years of experience!
Every knife is made by three different craftsmen: one to forge the blade, another to shape/finish the blade, and a third to create the handle. We aim to maintain a Russian feel to the knives by using handle materials such as young Karelian Birch and utilizing only proven Russian steels.
Olamic Knives bladesmiths have years of experience with such steels to ensure the highest quality blade possible. The steels don't have identical English equivalents, so feel free to explore their chemical composition charts available upon request.
The artisans at Olamic crafts a series of true damascus patterns that are designed to not only be beautiful to look at, but more importantly add to the edge holding capacity of the blade.
