Each of his hand made knives is the embodiment of Northland design - a simple, unique and stylishly shaped tool.

Over twenty years ago Heimo wanted to make a knife. But no smith was willing to teach him the art of making a blade.

So, he went to Steel itself to find the answer. Steel spoke to him then and told him its secrets. Only extensive trial and error reveals the true potential of unalloyed carbon steel.

Many experts agree that it makes the best practical knives. Heimo started making knives for his friends and before long the enterprise was established to secure his family’s income.

One of Roselli's finest achievements has been the development of a new "breed" of steel called UHC (Ultra High Carbon).

This steel has outstanding edge holding properties. UHC-steel's special properties are developed from the high amount of hard carbides made in the forging process.

Whether you are carving, cutting or skinning, UHC-steel holds its edge longer.

In fact the edge retains its sharpness twice as long as conventional carbon steel.

The handles of H. Roselli knives are special too! They are all made from Arctic Curly Birch which is kiln dried and stained for a good grip. Birch is tough, light and warm on the hands in cold weather.

Each Roselli knife comes with a tough leather sheath.
