This beauty features a tough concave 12c27 Sandvik stainless steel blade, solid babinga wood scales, textured thumb rest on the blade back and solid locking mechanism.
If you like the qualities of carbon steel but want some stain resistance Sandvik steel is a good choice. Attains a razor sharp edge and can be easily sharpened.
