We got a very cool stash of of genuine antique blade blanks from the now defunct Herders company. We have verified the age of these blades by the trademark.
If you are a fan of carbon steel this is as good as it gets.
This is the same shape as a knife that was used to chip off hunks from a large piece of hard Parmesan cheese. While in Germany I found a Herders catalog from the turn of the century and they had this knife on the same page with trade labor tools. So it could be a specialty scraper or something.
Produced between 1895 and 1920.
Marking may vary slightly and blades can have very some minor tarnish or defects.
