Kappetijn Knives is based in Pretoria, South Africa. Each Kappetjin knife is hand-made to exacting standards. Although these knives have the features, design and quality craftsmanship collectors look for, Kappetjin's philosophy is to make knives to actually be used.
The Serengeti is an extremely rugged hunting/skinning knife, beautiful enough to be a collector's item, but made to be used! It would make a great bushcraft knife as it is a basic design with all the value in the fine steel and Micarta.
This carbon steel version features olive green black Micarta scales with non-slip divots, a thick 1095 blade (5mm thick), brass lined lanyard ring and a custom made leather sheath.
This knife measures 9" in length with a 4 3/4" concave ground blade.
