Kappetijn Knives is based in Pretoria, South Africa. Each Kappetjin knife is hand-made to exacting standards. Although these knives have the features, design and quality craftsmanship collectors look for, Kappetjin's philosophy is to make knives to actually be used.
Kappetjin's damascus steel uses a combination of 1075 high carbon steel and 4340 high nickel steel. All blades are hardened and triple tempered to achieve a hardness of 57-59 HRC.
The King Henry is a beautiful design featuring a polished bone handle with delicate file-work on the brass spacers, twist damascus blade and guard and a custom made sheath.
This knife measures 8 1/2" in length with a 4 1/2" concave ground blade.
