This is a dagger based originally on a Western European knife called a Baselard. It was developed in Switzerland in the middle ages.
In the 1930 the Nazi party used this style of knife to outfit the SS.
This modern dagger has a plastic handle, solid steel guard and pommel and a tough steel sheath.
