It features a razor sharp serrated blade for cutting rope (or whatever and a bright orange plastic handle that keeps the knife afloat if dropped overboard.
The blade has a dulled tip so that it does not puncture ones body, life preserver or emergency flotation vessels.
In order to float this knife does not have the added weight of a spring. It is a friction folder.
