Traditionally the monkey fist is used as an end knot for a heaving line. A heaving line is a line used for throwing from one location to another.
This knot is also used as a lanyard tied to the end of a sailor's knife.
Hand tied parachute cord construction. 1" diameter inner ore chrome steel ball. The loop is tied in a slip knot for maximum versatility. Weight is 2.8 oz.
