This is an unusual hand made hunting knife from Ros Arms of Russia.
It has a unique blade shape with a two stage thumb or index finger rest for fine work.
The blades of all Ros Arms knives feature the famous Zlatoust forged and hardened stainless steel which is similar to ATS-34 or 440c stainless steel. Their special heat treatment tempers the blade to 58 on the Rockwell hardness scale.
The blades are on this fine knife has a beautiful hollow grind and a fine mirror polish. It has a blade that is 1/8" thick at the tang.
The handle is made from stacked leather washers with Micarta pommel and guard. The knife measures 10" long with a 5" stainless blade. The blade is stamped with the Russian Ros Arms seal.
There is a fine quality leather sheath included.
