This is a traditional, thick, hand forged Lappish Leuku native to Finland.
Laplanders still use this type of knife for many purposes including splitting wood, drsssing big game and cutting brush.
This is a big knife measuring 12" in length with a 7 1/2" high carbon steel blade. It weighs one pound.
The handle is made from a solid piece of kiln dried Curly Birch wood.
Included is a high quality leather belt sheath.
