Be prepared! We are all vulnerable to a wide variety of threats to our safety.
In the wake of increasing natural disasters and global economic instability it is imperative that we all have the things we need to be able to be self-sufficient.
At a minimum the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) suggest that we all have a three day evacuation and two week home survival kit including:
-Water one gallon per person, per day (3 day supply for evacuation, 2 week supply for home)
-Food non perishable, easy to prepare items (3 day supply for evacuation, 2week supply for home)
- Battery powered or hand crank radio (NOAA Weather Radio, if possible
-First aid kit
-Medications (7day supply) and medical items
- Multi-purpose tool
-Sanitation and personal hygiene items
- Copies of personal documents (medication list and pertinent medical information, proof of address, deed/lease to home, passports, birth certificates, insurance policies
-Cell phone with chargers
-Family and emergency contact information
- Extra cash
- Emergency blanket
- Map(s) of the area
In addition to these supplies we would suggest waterproof matches, a solid fixed blade knife, fire steel, 100 ft. of paracord, emergency whistle and water filtration system.
We are offering a growing selection of items that we believe are imperative to make it through a crisis as safely and comfortably as possible.
